Why do I need to complete identity verification?

Identity verification helps keep our platform secure, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory and client requirements.

When do I need to complete identity verification?

Identity verification is a mandatory step during onboarding. You must successfully complete verification before you can proceed to the Legal Document Uploads step.

What information do I need to complete verification?

You will need:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID
  • A device with a camera
  • Good lighting for taking a selfie and ID photo
What happens during the verification process?

You will be redirected to our verification provider, Veriff, where you will:

  • Capture a photo of your government-issued ID.
  • Take a live selfie.
  • Submit both for automated verification.
What happens if my verification is successful?

You will see a "Verification Complete" confirmation message and can proceed directly to the Legal Document Uploads step.

Do I need to verify my identity again if I pass?

No. Once your identity has been successfully verified, you can continue with the onboarding process.

What happens if my verification fails?

You will receive a message explaining the reason for the failure (when available) and will be given the option to retry verification.

How many verification attempts do I get?

You may retry verification up to 3 times before a temporary cooldown is applied.

Can I continue onboarding if verification fails?

No. Identity verification is mandatory. You cannot access the Legal Document Uploads step until verification is successfully completed.

Why was my ID rejected?

Your ID may have been rejected because:

  • The image is blurry.
  • The document is partially cut off.
  • The text is difficult to read.
  • The photo is poorly lit.
How can I improve my ID photo?

For best results:

  • Place the ID on a flat surface.
  • Ensure all corners are visible.
  • Use good lighting.
  • Avoid glare and reflections.
  • Make sure the image is sharp and readable.
Why couldn't the system match my selfie to my ID?

This can happen if:

  • Your face is not clearly visible.
  • The lighting is too dark or too bright.
  • Part of your face is covered.
  • The selfie does not closely resemble the ID photo.
How can I improve my selfie verification?
  • Remove sunglasses, hats, or face coverings.
  • Ensure your entire face is visible.
  • Use adequate lighting.
  • Look directly at the camera.
  • Match your appearance to your ID photo as closely as possible.
I received a generic verification error. What does that mean?

Sometimes the verification provider cannot determine a specific reason for the failure. In this case:

  • Review your ID and selfie images.
  • Ensure both are clear and well-lit.
  • Retry the verification process.
Who can I contact for help if verification keeps failing?

What happens after my third failed attempt?

You will receive a message indicating that the maximum number of verification attempts has been reached.

Can I try again after reaching the limit?

Yes. After a 24-hour cooldown period, additional verification attempts will become available.

Can someone manually review my verification?

Yes. If needed, you may contact the recruitment team to request manual review assistance.

Will I have to wait 24 hours if a manual review is requested?

No. Manual review requests can be submitted immediately, although review times may vary.

What should I do if Veriff is temporarily unavailable?

If Veriff is experiencing a service outage:

  • Wait a few minutes.
  • Click Try Again.
  • If the issue persists, contact the recruitment team.
Why am I seeing a "Service Temporarily Unavailable" message?

This usually means the Veriff service is temporarily unavailable or undergoing maintenance.

Will my progress be saved if Veriff is down?

Yes. Your onboarding progress will remain intact, and you can return later to complete verification.

Can I skip identity verification and complete other onboarding steps first?

No. Identity verification is a required step and cannot be skipped.

Why is the "Next Step" button disabled?

The button remains disabled until identity verification is successfully completed.

Can I upload legal documents before passing verification?

No. Access to the Legal Document Uploads step is blocked until verification succeeds.

How do I know when I can continue?

Once verification is successful, the system will display a confirmation message and enable the option to proceed to the next step.

How is my identity information protected?

Identity verification is processed through Veriff, a trusted identity verification provider. Information is handled securely in accordance with applicable privacy and security standards.

Who has access to my identity documents?

Access is restricted to authorized personnel and systems involved in the verification and onboarding process.

Why do you collect my ID and selfie?

These are required to confirm that:

  • You are the owner of the submitted ID.
  • The identity information provided is legitimate.
  • Platform and client security requirements are met.
